Hot Boat Ropes Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our marine cordage and provide a 3-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase.

What the Warranty Covers

This warranty covers premature failure of the rope or workmanship under normal, intended use.

If a valid warranty issue occurs, Hot Boat Ropes will, at our discretion, repair or replace the affected product.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:

  • Improper installation or use

  • Excessive abrasion or unusual wear points

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Improper storage or cleaning

  • Exposure to unusual or extreme environmental conditions

  • Misuse, neglect, modification, or abuse

  • Damage caused by equipment, hardware, or components not supplied by Hot Boat Ropes

Return Shipping and Warranty Costs

Hot Boat Ropes will pay reasonable return shipping costs within 30 days of the original order when the return is the result of our error, such as receiving an incorrect or defective item.

For valid warranty claims made within the first 90 days from the date of purchase, Hot Boat Ropes may also cover reasonable shipping costs associated with the warranty claim.

After 90 days from the date of purchase, all shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

The warranty applies only to the marine cordage itself. Hot Boat Ropes is not responsible for labor, installation costs, removal costs, equipment damage, loss of use, or other incidental or consequential costs associated with the rope, its failure, repair, or replacement.

Thread Warranty

Our sewn marine products use premium thread comparable to Tenara® thread. The thread is backed by a lifetime warranty from its manufacturer, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms and conditions.

We try to make warranty issues simple and fair. If you experience a problem with one of our products, please contact us and give us the opportunity to help.

Even if your product is outside the warranty period, we will do what we reasonably can to make a repair or replacement as straightforward and affordable as possible.
